Stained by Roche started in 2021 with a simple goal — to make wood look its best. I began by staining decks and fences during the warmer months, and over time, that passion for quality work grew into a full painting and carpentry business serving homeowners all around Knoxville, TN.

I’ve learned a lot over the years working on people’s homes, and one thing that hasn’t changed is how much pride I take in every detail. I want every project to come out perfect — that’s what makes customers so happy when the job’s done. Whether it’s a freshly stained deck, smooth-painted cabinets, or a custom wood project, I put the same care and precision into every job like it’s my own home.

Me

Hi, I’m Steven Roche — owner and founder of Stained by Roche. I started this business after years of working hands-on in construction and realizing how much I love taking something ordinary and turning it into something people are proud to look at every day. What began with staining decks and fences has grown into full-service painting, carpentry, and home improvement — and I’ve learned a lot along the way.

I’m big on quality and details. Every job I do, I want it done right — no shortcuts, no halfway results. I take pride in showing up when I say I will, keeping things clean, and making sure customers are thrilled with the final product. That’s what’s built my reputation and kept this business growing.
When I’m not working, I’m usually with my wife Layni and family, spending time outdoors, or playing basketball. Faith and family are at the center of everything I do, and they’re a big reason why I put my all into this business — to build something lasting and to serve people well.

Steven did an absolutely amazing job staining my porches. Was very professional and on time. I would highly recommend him to do any custom painting or staining on you’re home .
